Engineering problem: structural design of an industrial steel building with long-span roof framing.

Methodology: analysis and design of a tension-only braced frame with a bar joist roof system, including member and connection design coordination.

Role: structural design. Outcome: a complete structural scheme for an industrial steel building, described by system type rather than project identity.
